I'm glad I found this place. I recently bought a bot and proceeded to loose money with it. Then I landed here and saw people discussing strategies with this particular bot. I'm now trying to find the main poster and hopefully contribute as well.
JUST WANT TO SAY HELLO TO THR COMMUNITY AND IF U WOULD LIKE TO KNOW A LITTLE ABOUT MY TRADING EXPERIENCE, I ADDED IT TO MY BIO IN FULL DETAIL, IT WILL NOT LET ME COPY AND PASTE AND I DO NOT HAVE THE TIME TO REPEAT EVERYTHING, SO ANYWAY HELLO GUYS AND THANK YOU FOR HAVING ME IN YOUR COMMUNITY .can anyone help me with using my own trading logo as my avatar? It would only let me pick a random one from here?
Sorry for the delay in my reply as I don't visit the forum that often now days.
Glean all you can from as many sources as you can and read all the books you can. Then absorb it and make it your own. You are not like any one else and are unique so cannot trade like anyone else. Find out what works for you. It is not about the amount you win but consistency. If you can get consistent you can make more money than you can ever spend. The best indicator you have is the one between your ears. It adapts to the changing environment. It is also more intuitive and adaptive to the changing environment. Many people like algo or program trading. You might think as a computer person I would like that but the reverse is true. A program or indicator will do the exact same thing every time without emotion. The problem is markets are constantly moving and changing. Measure / counter measure like in warfare because you are at war. Programs or indicators with AI (artificial intelligence) are rare and others don't adapt or adjust to changing conditions but your brain can and does do this.
I am lucky in that I was a programmer, analyst, and developer for most of my life (a very good one too) and in many ways still am. I have done hundreds of indicators over the years as only a proof of concept to prove some concept or theory about the markets I thought of or read about. Some things people have said on this forum are helpful and other things are complete crap. I accept nothing until I prove it for myself. So my foundation is solid and grows slowly. Not rumor or fantasy but proven documented fact by me. It is sometimes long hard work but returns paybacks. In essence I seek knowledge.
Hope I don't sound like a nutter (crazy person) to you. If i do just ignore my comments.

Hello Big Mike and thank you for accepting me in your community.
I am a systematic trader.
I trade futures, stocks, commodities, fx and more recently cryptos.
I normally use MultiCharts connected to Interactive Brokers but there are some limitations to this.
I am always looking for enhancement in trading capacity and systems. I developed my own bars using some range type calculations.
Anyone here knowing how to build a bridge between MultiCharts and MT5/MT5/C-Trader/Ninja Trader would be useful to me or any platform having Kase bars or similar bars.
I will dig in your multitude of Threads to see what I can find anyways.
Hi Everyone
I'm in the UK and started my trading journey 10 months ago. I've learned a lot and burnt a bit of cash but not too much. I use NT8 now which I like and am trading live and just about holding my own. I've been looking for a good training course ( been burnt a couple of times already) to take me to a consistent level. I was thinking about Day Trading Academy but the threads on here are not very positive albeit a bit old. Would be really grateful to hear any suggestions on how to move forward.
Training courses can be a bit of a hit and miss, depending on many factors.
The outcome of any education also depends on what expectations you have to begin with.
For example, in the same way that going to school/uni does not guarantee you employment, attending trading courses does not guarantee profitability, if that is your goal.
I trust you can find here a lot of resources as well as helpful community members who can help with guidance on what best path to choose.
New at FIO, looking forward to learning from all of you. Hope my profile is visible to everyone.
I "traded" basically stocks and a few months ago I jumped into futures 'cause I have a small account and the PDT rule is .... well it is what it is.
I've separated my capital into 2 accounts stocks portfolio will be for short/long term swings (investment) ... this one is doing fine, nothing crazy (but not losing money there compared to 1 year ago)
The second account is for day trading futures (micros/minis). Will be journaling mostly regarding these trades.
Feel free to drop your comments on any of my future entries, I'd love some feedback about my trading thought process.
Will use this as a personal Journal as an attempt to become disciplined in doing this. As a beginner trader, theres a lot to pay attention to, thus, sometimes I forget to journal my trades.
For future entry feel free to comment and advise kindly :D …
