Hello - I recently signed up with APEX for an Evaluation Account. They actively recommend using their Sniper Charts and even trading them on semi-automatic with Markers Plus automation software. I've been struggling with both for the past month without success. The Sniper System seems exceptionally complicated with stops and targets that are both too tight. Anybody being successful with the Sniper Charts and Markers Plus and is so, what is your secret? There are a lot of questions about this on the Markers Plus         that don't seem to get answered.

Everything they try and sell you lags the hell out of Ninja, and has random advertisements that pop up. There is no holy grail and their system seems to make stuff complicated to the point it takes you forever to learn it as they collect their monthly sub fees. The system has a high win rate but it's like risk 20 to make 5 ticks on NQ. Losing trade? Didn't follow the system! Losing day, losing week? Didn't follow the system! See that monkey emoji above the candle? That's no trade! It looks commical, like a child made it. I had to at least test it once since it was "Free". The only tool I use from them is Desktop Assistant that deletes all the Cache and Historical files inside Ninja.

Quick edit: Once again there is no holy grail. If you can make 5 tick winners with a 20 tick stop loss work for you, then by all means keep at it. If you need 10 ticks and a 20 stop, go for it. 1:1 ratio at 20 tick TP and Stop, why not! It's all about finding your own groove and it's going to take a long time. All depends on how you want to trade.

@jmacc - thanks so much for the reply. I've been reading their support Skype and so many people are having recurring problems, it seems. Yet, someone bragging about a Golden Goose makes one want to check it out.

Tools are indicators are one thing..... If they are useful for you somehow, then you could purchase them.

Stategies are 100% lies. Nobody would ever sell you a working strategy.

Ive been thinking of doing their trial, but I've heard that the Sniper system is very processor intensive. How long does it take to load the charts usually? I dont understand why they also make you install this toolkit that seems to be overbloated.

I'm 2 months in with the Apex Sniper stuff. For me it's a mess. If you're an experienced scalper I can see the value. But for me, it's just a bunch of crap on the screen to decipher. I learned all of the setups and rules and what not and did ok with it over 2 months but scalping just isn't my style. The better use is only pay attention to the signal at areas of interest which is how I use the stuff.

As far as the Apex funding goes, I think following the Sniper rules and overall trade plan is the hard way to get it done. I've passed 20 eval accounts in three batches and I'm very happy with the funding program but didn't use the Sniper methods for any of it.

@JR97,

That's actually the key insight most traders miss with systems like this.

Markers Plus is an automation layer, not a strategy. It executes signals from whatever indicator you feed it. The problem is most people run it mechanically -- every signal, every bar -- which means every noise signal too. Filtering to areas of interest is the correct approach. You're using the automation for execution discipline at key levels, not as a signal generator you blindly follow.

Passing 20 evals without Sniper methods is a stronger result than passing with them. It means you have an edge that's genuinely yours -- not borrowed from a system that may or may not fit your psychology.

The scalping issue is worth naming directly. The Sniper system's tight stops work in specific conditions and for specific hands. If scalping isn't your natural style, fighting that is an uphill battle every session. Using the signals as confirmation at obvious levels -- prior day high/low, volume nodes, clear support/resistance -- is a more sustainable approach for traders still building their process.

One thing worth noting: Markers Plus is built specifically for @NinjaTrader. If your current setup doesn't run on NT, there's an extra layer of complexity baked in before you even get to the trading decisions.
