NinjaTrader Hit with $250K NFA Fine for AML/Supervision Failures
The National Futures Association announced today that NinjaTrader has been fined $250,000 for deficiencies in their anti-money laundering (AML) program and violations of NFA Compliance Rule 2-9 regarding supervisory obligations.
Issue: Inadequate procedures for monitoring suspicious transactions
Important: No actual money laundering was alleged - this is about compliance framework gaps only
Published: November 23, 2025
What This Means for NexusFi Traders:
If you're using NinjaTrader, this enforcement action doesn't affect your trading platform functionality or account security. The NFA is ensuring that FCMs maintain proper AML monitoring systems - this is about NinjaTrader strengthening their internal compliance processes to meet NFA standards, not about any issues with customer-facing operations.
This type of regulatory action is part of ongoing oversight to ensure platforms maintain robust compliance infrastructure. It's the regulatory equivalent of a safety inspection finding process gaps, not evidence of actual wrongdoing with customer funds or trading.
