After reading reviews on Gain (Forex.com) about traders having issues I wrote it off as disgruntled traders who lost money. I went ahead and began using them since i had no other choice if i want to use Ninja Trader. However, based on my experiences, there is something up and suspicious with this broker. If you are a profitable trader, I highly recommend avoiding Gain.
I worked with NT today to rule out the platform as the root of the cause, to which we could not find a reasonable solution. This leads me to believe the issue is Gain who say that i placed the orders (i didn't). Here are some of the issues i have had just this week. I am wondering if any other traders have had any similar problems.
5/30 orders not filled even when prices tick through.
5/31 lost connection on 2 different trades when trying to exit with a profit. did not lose internet connection.
6/2 reversed my position to 2X my normal position in opposite direction when exiting with stop. lost spread when exited ATM. stop order entry was for same amount as position in the market. should have been wash between small profit and spread loss - instead lost double.
@NinjaTrader - when will there be an alternative for forex traders who want to use NT? I am a loyal NT user and have been for years. But it is starting to seem odd that NT only pairs with forex brokers who are committing fraudulent activity. First FXCM, now Gain. I would really like to use Oanda with NT, and have heard this may be coming. Any news as to when? Again, not trying to bash NT and am happy with the program. But the choice of FX brokers is disappointing.
