version 3.0 - changed colors save correctly and restore correctly

Version 2.0 - in previous version, upon restart, the color selector parameters came up empty, in this version I made it so they default to Red, Yellow, and Green even if you had saved your workspace with other colors selected. I will keep investigating for a proper fix.

ColorInputSeriesSlopeChanges 1.0

I created a universal indicator that will alter the color based on slope change of "ANY" distinct, single-value dataseries in any panel. (I was reading Sharky�s thread and could not find the one he mentioned so I made one)

To use this, you need to learn how to define the input series for the indicator (all done via the NT7 UI). I created a thread in BMT that walks through this concept. You can also use NT7 help to learn how to do this.

In the supplied screen shot, the default input series is the 6E 12-11 (4 Range. For the indicator I changed it to be the EMA(20).

You can use �ANY� other available dataseries as input and the color change will be applied. No programing required; upper Bollinger band, lower Keltner band, HMA, TSI, MACD, etc� any indicator you have on your system can be used as the input dataseries for this indicator.

You can change the colors used, the defaults are Red (down), Yellow(same or peak), or Green(up).

Yellow can indicate values that are identical but it can also represent what I call Peak. The Peak value is the bar that is the apex of the slope change (ie from up to down). You can also toggle the display of Peak off or on.

From an unknown author, this indicator simply plot an MA with changing colors, if rising or falling.
MA possible types: SMA/EMA/HMA/WMA.

Modified code to display Up/Down arrows when the MA line changes color. This indicator is a "Sample MA indicator that allows you to select different MA types."

Extra features(like arrows) are nice to have when you can turn them On/Off.

01/09/11 Added configurable text...

Creates colored zones on the primary chart....by entering the top and bottom price area for the zone.
You may modify both the region and border color via indicator properties.
You may also modify the opacity of the 'zone'.

Colors are serialized so they will hold if saved as a template.

Use for Suppt/Resistance or simply as a visual 'trigger'.

Text is configurable (font/color)...and can be moved on the chart using textShift and textOffset parameters.

02/11/2011 (per request...doubled the number of zones, and now allow 0 and negative zone entries for folks using charts that require zones to have negative values

Creates color zones on the primary chart...however only requires the entry of one price. The indicator will then create a symmetrical zone around that price level.

Ex: (enter 1.2850....with a tick setting of "1" and the zone will be 3 ticks wide with
one tick on each side of the selected price)

Colors for the region and the border are selectable from Indicator properties.
Opacity for the region color is selectable from Indicator properties.
The desired 'width' of the zone (in ticks) is selectable from indicator properties.

NOW automatically calculates 'ticksize' based on instrument and chart.

Colour Time Bands

This indicator was provided elsewhere on the forum (thanks very much) and will show up to 3 different coloured backgrounds to the chart for different time zones - such as RTH / ETH and so on.

However, you (someone?) may want to fix these bugs: 1. When I close Ninja and re-open it disappears and needs to be re-loaded onto the chart; 2. I can't "save template"; 3. I would like to be able to treat it as a 24hr clock, in other words - if I enter 16:00 to 10:00 it should shade the entire overnight session. Rather, these indicators seem to get stuck at midnight and hence you need a few bands (so I can work around this if I need to).

Commitment of Traders (COT)

There is no real download here (the attached file, "cot.txt", is just a dummy file in order to satisfy the requirements of adding an entry).

Just want to highlight the stock Commitment of Traders (COT) indicator that comes with NT8 and how to set it up. emazing was requesting this and didn't know that it was already available. I'm putting it here to alert everyone of this indicator and how to set it up.

Setup:
1) Go to: Tools -> Options -> Market data
2) Once there, click on: Download COT data at startup
3) After doing this, restart NT.
4) Add the COT indicator to a weekly chart (Released every Friday at 3:30pm by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission)

Included here is a weekly chart with the COT indicator.

Confluence Of Time. "Fibonacci Counter"

Fibonacci counter or whatever number you want to use, there show confluence for numbers of bars. And future bars.

For MarketAnalyzer be aware of amount of data.!

If you have a slow computer, then have some patience for chart to update.
