Looking for a Volume profile indicator. Have been looking but no luck.
Wanting to move off TOS but not before I can get this indicator. I am not very good with
with Easy language yet.
There is one available on the TradeStation Forum that is pretty good. Note it is only for a full day's trading. Meaning multi-day profiles cannot be accomplished.
Good tip for tbl524. That TradeStationvolume profile indicator from the forum is a solid starting point for single-session analysis -- POC, VAH, and VAL all plotted on the chart.
The single-day limitation is real though, and worth expanding on for anyone reading this. If you need multi-day composite profiles on TradeStation, there are a few paths:
Custom EasyLanguage solutions - Some community members have built workarounds using drawing objects to create multi-day volume profiles. Not trivial, but possible for those willing to dig into EasyLanguage.
TradingApp Store add-ons - Third-party TradeStation volume profile indicator options exist that extend beyond single-day limitations. Worth checking what's currently available there.
Complementary platforms - Some TradeStation users run a second platform alongside specifically for volume profile work. NinjaTrader has sound volume profile tools built in and is popular for this use case.

Hi folks have searched thru the forums. Any pointers to volume profile for tradestation.
Curious to know if you using volume profile on tradestation....other than TPOs. Are you using Vol profile + TPO?....if so any pointers?
For anyone migrating from TOS like the original poster, the biggest adjustment is that TOS bakes volume profile in natively while TradeStation treats it more as an add-on. The core data is the same -- it's just a matter of how it gets rendered.
