Today's CL is a good example. I had a strong bias that CL is going to pop and reverse, and kept selling into rally. That bias prevented me from adapting to the market reality, noting the strong short term momentum, and seeing long opportunity, not short. Of course, CL reversed in the afternoon, but the damage was already done.
Yes you need conviction in your belief, but you also need agility to survive the ever changing market.
