I am a day trader - trading momentum stocks in NYSE & NASDAQ, and i have been trading for some 6 years, i have read, don’t know how many books, bought some methodologies, read thousands of articles and participated in tons of web seminar, but it was only until some 6 months ago that i am starting to see a light, after i wrote myself a business plan - and put in written my method and my rules .. And always refer to it..always.. and i can see it clearly.. a loss usually is a product of not following my own rules...
I am love day trading.. and i hope to retire doing that.. right now i have a full time job
I am looking forward to know this trading community and share positive ideas.

I'm a French Canadian, excuse my english and do not hesitate to tell me if it is not clear. I started trading 3 yrs ago and I did not imagine that it would be so difficult to succeed in that field. I have already, as many of you, invested a lot of time and money in tools, training and financial letters.
The offerings in that industry are impressive and it is very difficult to assess their real value. They run businesses and they want to make money with our motivation and dreams of being wealthy and self sufficient.
I was seduced by joining a group that want to help each other by sharing there experience and knowledge. I'm still looking for relevant solutions to improve my trading skills and behaviors and I think that I found the right place to stop looking for the Holy Grail and start focusing on the real things.
I'm more interested by day trading futures and swing trading options and I'm looking forward to share with you. If some of you leaves in Eastern townships, it could be interesting to talk.
The support on this forum looks fantastic. Glad to have joined. I love the focus on being positive and it being all about sharing and learning. The biggest challenge for me is to suppress the EQ and totally sharpen the IQ when trading, i.e. it is all in my head. I look forward to being part of this forum.
Thanks Big Mike for creating a wonderful forum containing a wealth of knowledge. Like most of you I'm trying to work very hard indeed to succeed with this game but the emotional aspects continue to haunt me. Hoping we can overcome these issues together.
hello traders,
I'm Italian and my english is not the best. I'm a day-trader and I do it for a year. I use NinjaTrader and I try to create new strategies more and more efficient.
Hello to everybody from Italy,
happy trading
I'm beginner in trading. Glad to join this forum, and hope to improve my trading experience reading it. Hope to become a valuable part of this community once.
It is always good to be involved in a community where sharing knowledge is key and improving personal performance in the markets is the motivation. I am motivated to learn as much as possible, and share whatever materials that could be beneficial to others.
I am new to trading as of Jan 2013. Trading seemed like pure gambling, and I only knew that I didn't know enough to play the game. After many years of catching up on rudimentary financial education like the Rich Dad series, some MSMs with decent leadership training, and a brief foray into RE investing, we attended another weekend seminar (MMI) and were introduced to several types of training. We signed me up for tax sales and my husband for a stock trading class.
After he returned, I tried to catch up from his notes and the online videos we now had access to-- and ended up blowing past what he had been able to cover. I was shocked to find it making sense and being interesting in a way I had never thought, and using methods that fit my personality well. (such as only trading at end-of-day with stop orders)
I began trading a (very) small account of our real money in parallel with a $10k sim account on investopedia. I have so far managed to preserve about 90% of starting capital (in both accounts) and most of my losses have been from trading commissions. I have recently trained with CS on futures & forex trading and have been attending webinars on options strategies in an effort to become a fully well-rounded trader, but am most drawn to forex for now.
I am currently most interested in the psychology of trading, in the day-to-day reality of trading for a living, and in how to most effectively grow a small amount of starting capital. My purpose & trading goal is to become self-supporting by end-of-year 2015 so we can travel the world & my husband (classically trained violist) can leave the managerial day-job to pursue his musical dreams playing 7-string electric violin with a christian symphonic metal band. (now auditioning!) \m/
I appreciate what futures.io (formerly BMT)F claims to stand for and look forward to everything I can learn and can share with the community.
