I'm a software engineer and started trading futures with the goal of becoming a full-time day trader, and I believe it is possible. Not having to answer to anyone, and not having to be beholden to anyone or anything but myself... sounds like the dream for sure!
I've been a lurker on this forum for a little bit since I've started trading futures around 1 month ago. I've also had the unfortunate luck of dang near blowing up my account, losing a rather large amount of capital and getting margin called in my first few days of trading. It's turned around a bit since then, thankfully, but I'm glad to have found this forum of like-minded people!
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I was trading FX for some time years ago but got sidetracked by a career in IT. Ironically, IT let me to crypto, then trading crypto, then realising that FX was much more consistent to me, so I've come full circle into looking back into FX again. It's good to be back, I forgot how much I enjoyed this.
Currently looking at trading futures, although I did have my heart set on the ES and I'm coming to realise my current trading plan doesn't work so well outside of RTH. A lot more research to do on the asian futures and platforms/brokers. This forum has been very useful to date, but I've a lot more information to roll through before I'm ready to dip into futures, just need to stay on the grind in FX in the mean time.
I thought that I would be the only spanish day trader in the futures.io but not, at least we are two, but in something I hope to be the number one........my bad English, I'm so sorry for this, hope to improve.
I'm fed up with transfering money to my trading account and I would like to learn something about trading, specifically about NYSE Tick Index indicator recently discovered.
From Zaragoza (Spain) my best wishes for all of you.
P. S. I don't write long menssages........sure you know why.
Hello all - new here to the forum but have been trading since 2005 when I started as a power trader. I'm now trading mostly in NQ and RBOB futures as they fit the speed that I'm looking for on a daily basis.
My biggest problem that I've had since I started trading is not realizing when a day is 'trending' against me and allowing a small loss grow bigger thinking that it will eventually find an intraday support / resistance level and head back to average. Doing some searches here has shown me that people in the forum don't necessarily like the terms 'chop' vs 'trending' but I'm looking to improve on my faults here with the knowledge from others.
Hello everyone, I am from Kaunas, Lithuania. I am trading mainly NQ for a second year now, learning order flow and tape reading, trying to work out some strategies and style, suitable for myself. On this forum, I hope to find some coleques with the same desire to master trading and develop consistant strategy for a living. Wish you all to master your own - the best trading strategy.
