Notes:
Missed 110 tick opening range short trade to close the GAP on the Fridays range and settlement. I was not prepared in time, confused with the market profile and the holiday weekend, thought it was not working, when it was, spent too much time on it and did not complete morning preparation items. After I missed the move, sat the morning out. I am rating my session good because I am not forcing trades. Took good setup long off of Fridays Settlement for my only trade today.

No CL Inventory for today
Game Plan for Today:
CL: We will be opening up in the 68.90 area, a GAP down of some 70 ticks. Watch the opening range for clues as to the direction the market might want to go. If we do not close the gap relatively quickly the look for short trades. On the short side we have two gaps that are in range to be filled.

Notes:
Took short Opening range trade, did not trail stop, was up 17 ticks, ended up loosing 14 when stopped out. Since I was short I did not take the long entry in a good location so I trailed the stop close and was out at +5 ticks. Took short divergence entry from the high of the day with confirmation on footprint chart, turned out to be a really really good trade. Took one more long trade and was stopped out at -3 ticks, trailed stop on 1 min chart.
Lessons Learned:
Take Good setups without hesitation or reservation. Do not get chopped up by watching the one min chart too close.

Yes, Apex Investing is great! They just do not have NT 8 indicators and I really like NT8. The charts and indicators area a little different than Apex's but I really like to look at one tick based chart to help with entries. The Settlement lines I manually enter and everything else came from the futures.io downloads section.

Game Plan for Today:
CL: Opening up near 68.90 inside range and value.
We have inventory numbers at 11:00 today so beware at that time.
Watch Opening Range and trade accordingly.
I expect a range bound day until inventory numbers then anything can happen
We still have some weak structure below and a prominent POC at 67.65
Trend line on daily chart is providing some support

CL Inventory day on a holiday week. Lost two opening range trades, one in each direction. lost two long trades from a strong down move. Was distracted and not entirely focused on the CL trading when we broke down and third trade was entered., could have chose a better spot. Market traded to levels I noted in the Game Plan, but I was not focused enough to get on the "bus" to those levels. Continue to focus on the process not whether or not today's trades worked out.
Lessons Learned:
Be FOCUSED... do not enter trades near yesterdays POC, use it for TP area, be patient when opening @ yesterdays POC

CL: Yesterday was a tripe distribution day, with the latter part looking like a short covering rally. We are opening up near settlement, which is near the Weekly Kickoff low, overnight inventory being balanced. Today is Friday. Volume may dry up earlier than usual. we are have retraced yesterdays sell off to about 50%. We closed yesterday back below the trend line on the daily chart. Watch opening range and foot print chart for clues as to direction. Keep a close eye on the VAH @68.21 and the 68.40 levels.

Notes:
OR was 25 ticks, quite large for stops. after the strong selling on the open I was not processing data correctly to take a long trade, even with a small stop, On the winning short trade I was in at a very good location, however it missed my TP by 1 tick and I gave up 1/2 of profit before I closed it. This trade could have been managed a little better. send winning trade I took profit too soon.
Closed the week positive, but with several important things to think about and work on improving for next week.
Lessons Learned:
Do NOT let losses from yesterday make me skeptical and take profits early, when I have TP at a reasonable level wait it out. However, maybe put stop 2 -3 ticks from the level.

CL: Looks like we will be opening above range from Friday, but only a few ticks, the Settlement GAP could be filled quickly. Watch Opening range for acceptance of price at these levels. the gap above us is up at 69.50, resistance could be found in the 69.00 area. Initial thoughts are to look for longs from settlement area.

Notes:
Rested well from the weekend and was feeling quite content this morning. took time to make all morning preparations which helps my trading a ton. OR trades did not work very well today. the trades based off the 30 min charts from prior areas of value worked really well. Executed trades well today.
Lessons Learned:
One Thing I Well today that I want to continue tomorrow:
Traded Ranges on Value Area from 30 min RTH chart.
Today's biggest mistake & how can I improve tomorrow:
Stopped trading after a couple of good trades and missout ona couple potential trades.
How Am I going to do that?
Focus on Value areas, keep focused on trading CL until 12:00 est

Still have some weak structure below and we are trading near the top of a GAP. Look for signs that this GAP wants to be filled. Notice Clustering of Value Areas indicating market might want to go higher.

Notes:
Did NOT take any Futures trades today. Was a little scared to take the Opening Range trade because I have lost so many of them lately, so i hesitated and the marked chopped around for a while then took off on a 200 tick move that did not allow me to enter anywhere with a good stop location so I sat today out feeling bad about the large move and not being in it FOMO.
Lessons Learned:
Watch that Opening Range closer and see if I can learn to read it better.
The thing I did today that I want to continue tomorrow:
Do not get in trades without a good location.
Today's biggest mistake & how can I improve tomorrow:
Missed Opening Range Entry.
How Am I going to do that?
Practice just taking the Opening Range Trades. Keep up the good work of not getting in without a good location to do so.

Game Plan for Today:
CL: Opening Up at the weekly kickoff high. GAP up from value area of yesterday RTH so we have accumulated a lot of longs overnight if we do not see imitative buying soon after the open they may bail and we go back to settlement. However, we need to be patient as the CL Inventory numbers will be released at 10:30 est and we may not have a strong move until after the numbers are out. With the hurricane in the Atlantic may be a stimulus for higher prices. Watch the opening range.

Notes:
Took Opening Range trade and it worked out well, got out a little early but I had been in it for over an hour and was coming into EIA time so it is reasonable to get out and not put 15 ticks at risk in a choppy market just before inventory. I missed 2 really good directional trades after the inventory number. However the range bound trades paid off well and gave me a low risk entry, however I was nervous and took profits too soon, my predetermined levels were hit so I left many ticks on the table by getting out early.
Lessons Learned:
Keep Trading the Opening Range. Range Based trades worked really well today.
The thing I did today that I want to continue tomorrow:
Continue getting in at good locations on range based trades
Today's biggest mistake & how can I improve tomorrow:
Taking profits too early.
How Am I going to do that?
Trail Stops more leniently and STOP getting out early!!!
